Description
Woodstock Park is at Alameda's west end. It has a lot of open, grassy fields. The ball fields are lighted and separate from the play areas. There is a staffed recreation center and a small parking lot. The park is next to a child development center and so it is possible that kids use the playground during school hours.
The older kids play structure is extensive and full of challenging climbing apparatuses, a tunnel, lots of slides, and bridge. The tot lot is fenced and has a sand pit in it. It too has a play structure with 3 slides and a teeter-totter.
I liked Woodstock Park for how open it was. However, it did seem isolated to me. Probably just felt that way the day we visited.
