Description
Willie "Woo Woo" Wong playground is in the heart of San Francisco's Chinatown. It's very compact and just about as urban as urban can be.
The park is very nice and used a lot. The day we visited a daycare or preschool was playing there and it was cute to see all of the kids sit down in a line when they were done playing and take off and empty their shoes. Clearly they had done this before many times.
There are three levels to the park. To the left above the play areas are a volleyball court and a tennis court. Then the play areas, a small playground, restrooms, and a recreation center are on another level. Finally, on the roof of the recreation center is a basketball court.
I could be wrong, but my feeling is that they filmed a pivotal scene from Pursuit of Happyness with Will Smith from the basketball court here. Check it out and let me know what you think.
