Description

Willard Park is a beloved Berkeley Park. I've had more than one person recommend it to me.

This description was submitted to Great-Kids-Parks by Serene: Everyone loves Willard Park. It's best for ages 3 and under.

Willard has an enclosed tot park that is very cute. It has a neighborhood feel.

Lots of parents from the university seem to go there and you'll hear lots of different languages.

It has a huge beautiful grassy field that people bring their dogs to and people lay out playing guitar.

My own addition: As Serene said, the play area really is only for kids ages 0-5. Berkeley is the only city so far that I've encountered where people deliberately and consistently leave toys behind for the play areas.

Willard has 2 lighted tennis courts and a practice wall. It also has a clubhouse used for after-school recreation programs and an adjacent swim center.
