Description
Washington Manor Park is an older park with a fairly new swim center, the San Leandro Family Aquatic Center. The park is a good size and the two play areas are quite far away from each other.
The ages 2-5 play area features a play structure with three slides, two swings, wood chips, and these really cool huge, colorful cement tubes that make great tunnels for running through. There are seven tunnels and a couple of ramps for the kids to play in and on. My kids and a friend had more fun chasing each other around these.
Across the park is the older kid play structure with two tall slides, lots of monkey bars, and a bridge. There are also really long swings that can go really high.
Washington Manor has a lot of shade, especially over the tot play area. The big kid play area didn't have any shade over it, but there were shade trees nearby. There are three sets of bathrooms with one near each play area. There are also two ball fields, tennis courts, and an active recreation center.
