Description
My husband took the kids here with the grandparents and was kind enough to take pictures for me, so the description is from a couple of websites. Walter Haas Playground has two connected play areas and incredible views of downtown and the East Bay.
It also has a lawn, a dog park, and a basketball court, but no bathrooms. Both play areas have rubberized turf and are fenced in. The tot play area has a sand pit and the big kid area has lots of climbing opportunities.
The park was renovated in 2005, largely due to fundraising efforts by the Friends of Walter Haas Playground. Two things to note: there is no shade over the play areas and it can get quite windy there in the afternoon.
