Vincent Park in Richmond is located on a peninsula protecting the Richmond Marina on the south/west side of 580. Because of its location it was very windy there, but the trees do cut down on the wind. However, it was very cool that because the park is located on the peninsula there are two little beaches, one protected and one open to the bay, that you can explore and get your feet wet at.
The two play structures have a boat theme and are easily accessible from the rubberized turf. Yet, there is a river of sand running between the two structures.
This park has a beautiful location with great views of the Bay Bridge and the ability to watch boats sail in and out of the marina. It is part of the Richmond Marina Bay Trail and so bike riding or walking the trail is a great option. This trail also connects to the Point Isabel Regional Shoreline Trail which runs a few miles south in the Eastshore State Park.
