Description
Thrasher Park is a big park with a tiny play area. It is the oldest park and has the only skateboard park in the city.
The play area consists of an unfenced tot lot with a tiny play structure with two slides. There are picnic benches and lot of shade.
The park is home to a lighted regulation sized softball field and a skateboard park. The skateboard park is next to the softball field behind the bathrooms. It is fenced and in shade for most of the day because of the warehouse beside it.
Thrasher Park is also home to the San Leandro Historical Train Society Headquarters. In June and December they hold a weekend open house with lots of model trains and model train enthusiasts in attendance.
