Description

Stenzel Park must be the most used park in San Leandro. I'm near there a few times a week and I almost never see the parking lot empty. I love when a park is used so much!

Stenzel is home to the Washington Manor Junior Baseball League. It has 4 baseball fields and 2 soccer fields. So there's nearly always baseball practice or a game going on. I've also seen tai-chi groups there in the morning.

There are two nice play areas. The big kid play area is by the parking lot and ball fields. This area has a really big play structure; actually it's two that are connected. Lots of climbing, swinging, and sliding opportunities.

The little kid play structure is across the park, but further away from the cars. It's play structure is nice and new too. I like that the little kid play area has a small house and teeter-totter too.

The park also has a 1/2 basketball court, bathrooms, a picnic area, and a concession stand that's open during the season. It's wonderful that siblings have a great place to play while brother or sister is playing ball.
