Description
How could anyone not be intrigued about a park with the name Slide Hill? It is named because of its famous big cement slide. From the looks of it, it's a fast one too. Lots of cardboard at the bottom.
Slide Hill Park has two separate play areas. The one for toddlers is newer and is near the picnic area. It has four slides and four swings. The ground covering is tanbark, but there are two sand pits.
The bigger kid play area is older and next to the cement slide and aquatic center. This one has two swings and is in lots of shade. The two play areas are very far apart and so it would be very difficult to watch kids at both.
I thought the park was very peaceful with lots of trees and green grass. There is a basketball court, two ball fields, two tennis courts, a covered picnic area, lots of benches, and the awesome aquatic center, called Manor Pool. On our future trips along Highway 80, we will definitely make a stop.
