Description

Rosicrucian Park is a beautiful park owned by the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum. The park sits on the museum's grounds and encompasses the museum and its buildings.

The park houses the Egyptian Museum, Peace Garden, Planetarium, the Research Library and the Rosicrucian Temple. Even though the park sits on private property, it's free for the public to wander around.

Walk around and marvel at the re-creations of Egyptian and Moorish architecture, learn about plants the ancient 18th century Egyptians used in the Peace Garden, play the ancient game of Senet with huge game pieces, enjoy the statues, rose gardens, and beautiful fountain.

We walked all the way around the park and had snack in it before going into the museum and that seemed to help my kids slow down and use quiet voices in the museum.

This definitely isn't a "playing" park, but it is a beautiful park and truly worth an admire. Just make sure the kids know to respect the grounds and follow the rules.

The parking lot is off of Chapman Street.
