Enfield Gorge is beautiful reason to visit Robert H. Treman State Park. The view from the upper gorge trail to the lower park is simply stunning. There are two rim trails which take you past 12 waterfalls, including the 115 foot Lucifer Falls.
There are nine miles of hiking trails, a life guarded swim area with a beach, fishing, hunting, a playground, and camping grounds. Many of the parks buildings were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps and still stand today.
The park is open year round, but the gorge is closed over half the year due to hazardous winter conditions. The gorge trails close mid-November. Camping season starts in mid-April and runs to mid-November. There are cabins available. Swimming season runs daily from mid-June to Labor Day.
