The area was designated as Nevada's first National Conservation Area. It has 195,819 acres and is visited by more than one million people each year.
Red Rock Canyon offers the opportunity to enjoy nature a short drive from the lights and sounds of The Strip. It has more than 30 miles of hiking trails, horseback riding, mountain biking, road biking, picnic areas, nature observing and a visitor center with exhibit rooms and a book store. Red Rock Canyon has also been rated as one of the finest rock climbing areas in the world.
