Description
Shadow Cliffs is an 80 acre lake for boating, fishing, and swimming. It was formerly a gravel quarry, so three sides are walls and the fourth side is with open with a very long sloping entry.
There is a roped off swimming area with an additional roped off shallow area. This area is staffed with lifeguards during the summer from 11 am to 6 pm. Swimming is allowed during the winter and before and after posted hours, but it is at your own risk.
The beach is very wide and has beach quality sand. Behind the beach are numerous picnic areas, a snack bar, and separate bath houses for changing.
Shadow Cliffs can get very crowded on warm summer weekends. Be sure to arrive early for a good spot!
