Pioneer Park is a quaint little park a block from the main street in Calistoga. Calistoga may be known for its spas and wines, but more and more families are using it for an easy weekend getaway. A nearby park is a great way to let your kids burn some energy.
The park has three play structures with tanbark. One play structure is for ages 5-12, another is for ages 2-5 and the last is a system of monkey bars. There are 2 big kid swings and 2 tot swings, 5 slides, and lots of climbing opportunities. A zip line and a rolling log also call out to be played on (see picture with 35 year old). There are benches in the play area and the whole play area is fenced in.
Pioneer also has bathrooms near the play area, a nice grass area with a gazebo and access to a creek. For those not inclined to walk from their hotels, there is a small parking lot on Spring Street. I thought it was a very nice park.
