Description

Peers Park in Palo Alto is a really neat 4 acre neighborhood park. It has two play areas, two tennis courts, a basketball court, picnic tables and an open field that is used for soccer games.

We really liked Peers Park and played here for a long time. My kids enjoyed playing on the unique play structures, especially the bigger kid one in two parts connected by a rock bridge. They also liked the unique teeter-totters and climbing structure.

The design of the play area is nice because the play structures are on the edges of the play area next to the big trees. These trees provide lots of shade during the hot summer days. There are also lots of picnic benches, some in the shade and some not.

A special feature of this park is a grove a redwood trees located behind the tennis courts. These trees grew from seeds that orbited the earth aboard the Space Shuttle Challenger in 1985.
