Description
Parkside Square is the neatest park. It strikes me as very whimsical. From the huge spider web climbing dome to the ship motif play structure to the great teeter-totters, it all encourages imaginative play.
We've visited twice and each time the kids come up with a different focus for their play. The last time it was running around and climbing up and down the webbed dome. Great exercise and great fun!
There's a sand box in the play area. The play area is also fenced in which is wonderful with little ones. The ground covering is all rubberized turf, which you might think would get hot in the summer, but the park's location near the Pacific Ocean almost always ensures a cool breeze. There are also lots of shade trees.
In addition to the play area, there are 4 tennis courts, a ball field, picnic benches, and a basketball court.
