Description
Northgate Community Park is a big park off of Paseo Padre Parkway. It has three ball fields, a big parking lot, a blacktop volleyball court, a basketball court, a group picnic area, and a play area.
The play area is set in sand and only has a big kid play structure. It is a big big kid play structure though. There are three sections which are connected by monkey bars and a bridge. Preschoolers could probably climb one section with supervision, but my 3.5 year old made me nervous climbing the section with only the big tube slide.
There are some toddler swings in tanbark with two ride on spring toys a few feet away from the play area. That area was nice because it got the afternoon shade. The big kid play area didn't get much shade.
The play area had benches all around it and bathrooms nearby, so that is helpful for supervision.
