Description
McCartney Park is a cute little neighborhood park right next to Washington School. The neighborhood park part of if has a small play structure for ages 2-5 that is fenced in. A short walk down a path leads to the school's playground with a massive play structure for older kids.
The tot area has swings, a structure with three slides, a small climbing wall, a spinning seat, and a rope net for climbing. It is very neat and clean. There are no bathrooms.
The play structure on the school grounds is very big with several sections. There are six slides and six swings. The structure offers many, many climbing opportunities and lots of overall challenges. A game of tag on and around the play structure would be awesome.
If you have older kids I would recommend visiting the park after school hours and on weekends. There is a grass field with two ball backstops. There are some trees at the entrance to the park on Sunnyside Dr., but not much shade otherwise.
