Description
May Nissen Community Park is an older park that opened in 1962 in Livermore. It has a community swim center with two pools, six basketball courts, one of the city's public libraries, softball fields, a preschool, four tennis courts, a dog run, and a picnic area with its own separate play area.
Both of the play areas have sand covering. The older kid play area appears to be the one by the group picnic area. The tot play area is across the park near the preschool. It is has lots of shade over the play area as well as over some benches, which is a good thing because it can get hot there. This play area also has two zip lines and some small tunnels.
This park was clearly an older park, but still nice. We had a quiet afternoon of play there.
