Description

Mary Laveroni Park is the park with the bright play structure that most people see out of the corner of their eye traveling on Highway 120 to or from the Yosemite area.

The play structure and parking lot are all that's visible from the highway, but there's much more to the park down lower on the back side. There's a big amphitheater with covering for the audience, a big lawn with a concession and grandstands on one side, a full basketball court, a creek, and a skate park. I'm willing to bet that this park is an important gathering place for the town.

The play area is small, but fenced in on two sides. There are picnic sites nearby. Next to the park is the Groveland Yosemite Gateway Museum and a library.
