Description
Robert Livermore Community Center Pool is a great place to take kids to play. There are only two pools and they are separated by a fence with a gate, so no worries about losing little ones. The lap pool is quite large, probably 50 m by 25 yards and then there is the zero depth entry wading pool with the play structure. The wading pool has a separate, small landing area for the tube water slide.
The wading pool gets to a maximum depth of 2 feet. The play structure has a tube slide, a tunnel, water cannons, and showers. There were always two lifeguards on duty for the wading pool when we were there. The wading pool area also has a really nice shaded lounge chair area next to the pool.
Robert Livermore has a very cool program called "Tot Time" every M-W-F from 9:45 to 11:45 am. Tots under age 5 and their chaperones are admitted to only the wading pool for $2.00 per person. This was awesome for my kids at ages 2 and 4! Otherwise their hours are 1-8:30 pm M-F, 11am to 6 pm Sat., and 12 to 6 pm Sunday.
The facility was really clean and looked fairly new. There is a big recreation center attached to the pool with a separate entrance. Be sure to park in the parking lot closest to the pool off of Loyola Way otherwise it is a long walk.
