Description

Hidden Valley Park is a nice park in Martinez. It can be confused with Hidden Lakes Park which doesn't have a play structure. Both parks are connected by a 2 mile trail.

The two play areas at Hidden Valley Park are really nice because there are big cement steps between the play areas where you can sit and easily watch your children. Both play areas have extensive structures with unique amenities. In addition to the two structures there is a rolling log, a jungle gym, and a teeter-totter. The little kid play area is on rubberized turf and the older kid play structure is handicapped accessible.

Beyond the play areas is a big meadow with wide open views and an amphitheater. There are covered picnic areas nearby, a bathroom next to the playground, and a school next door to the park. One not so nice thing is the power lines that run through the park and the tower beside the amphitheater.
