Description
Hap Magee Ranch Park is a wonderful 17 acre park with a ranch themed play area and surroundings. It is very well laid out and very well maintained.
The park has a sand pit with a digger mechanism, two separate play structures, a water feature with rubberized turf, a group picnic area near the play areas, a sand volleyball court, a dog park, and big grassy fields. There are also several buildings that are available for rental for weddings and such. It is a beautiful location.
The play structures are made of wood and have lots of neat things. The younger kids play structure has a grain silo for climbing, a rope climbing wall, a tunnel, and two slides. There is also a teeter-totter, a separate train structure, two toddler swings, and a spinning merry-go-round on that side of the play area.
The play structure for the older kids is quite neat with numerous climbing and monkey bar opportunities. There is a cool spiral tunnel slide, three rope climbing walls, a running log, and at least four different ways to climb up the play structure via nets and ropes.
There are benches that were in the shade when we visited in April, but I can see how it could get very hot there. There is no shade over the play areas, but there is a small water play area.
