Description

Hal Brown Park at Creekside is a recently renovated park across from Marin General Hospital. It seems to me that someone had good design intentions, but it didn't turn out as great as it could have.

I'm sure kids don't mind too much, but there doesn't seem like there's all that much for them to do there. The park boasts 1 slide, a tot swing and 1 handicapped swing. It appears that the slide was an afterthought. It's hard to access and it's far away from the main play area.

There is a water play area that kids can build dams in and bridges over. But it will do little to cool them off during the hot summer months. There's also a small road built into the play area for scooters and tricycles. Just beware that it's cement and it runs right next to the sand pit.

I had read about the park and it's renovation and was eager to visit. I think I was just a little let down. However, I do want to take the kids back when the crews are done working on the trails at Creekside so that we can ride our bikes along the waterway.
