Description
Greenridge Park is big park located high on a hill with spectacular views. The park grounds cover the entire hill top. Not many people realize that the park extends quite far back with a great walking/riding path along the ridge.
The play structure is a good size with some swings and a tire swing. The play structure is the first thing you see from the parking lot. However, if you head down a nearby hill you can walk to the basketball court, covered picnic area with grills, and a big grassy field. This area is almost like a bowl with the walking/riding path along the ridge serving as the rim of the bowl.
The park is isolated since it is on top of the hill, but I have never been worried when I have taken my kids there. We enjoy taking our dog out on the walking path. Just about the only downside to the park is that it can get very windy and cold on top of the hill. Dressing in layers is advised when it is a cooler day.
