Diablo Vista is a great park off of Crow Canyon Road. It is quite big and used for many sporting events. There are two parking lots and the fields are really far apart, so crowding can be kept to a minimum.
The park has a play area with two structures, a neat water feature, a sand volleyball court, a basketball court, a lighted and an unlighted ball field, an artificial turf soccer field, and two tennis courts. There is a trail that you can walk from beyond the tennis courts to another smaller, neighborhood park called Red Willow Park. That was neat to discover.
There is a synthetic rubberized ground surface in the tot play area. There isn't any shade over the play areas, so the ground surface and play structure surfaces can get quite hot. If you were to go in the summer, I really would recommend going in the evening.
The tot play area has a small play structure with three slides, a climbing rock, a teeter-totter, and two swings. The older kids play area has a neat circular play structure with a unique trolley mechanism. It was great that kids needed to work together to make the trolley go. Definitely meant taking turns. The older kids area also had a climbing net, a slide, and monkey bar sliding thing.
The park was very well maintained. Seemed like not a blade of grass was too long. There are picnic areas spread out near the play areas, but just not a lot of shade.
A note about the water feature. It is a really cool snake that winds downhill. I could see how kids would float things down it and then splash in the wading area at the bottom.
