Description
Deerview Park is in the Columbia housing development up on one of Castro Valley's many hills. Heading up to the park offers great views, but most views are blocked from the park itself.
Deerview is situated on a hill with the basketball court at the top, then a big grassy field leading down to the play structure at the bottom. There is a covered picnic area next to the play structure. The park is also home to a private swim club.
I can totally picture kids running and/or rolling down the grassy hill at top speed. With the walk back up they would tire out easily!
The park is well maintained and the play structure is modern. A big downside to the park is that there are no public restrooms.
