Description

Dan Foley Park is a big park at 60 acres. It has so much to do. There are beautiful soccer fields, a lighted ball field with a grandstand, a lake for fishing, 5 reservable group picnic areas with BBQ's, a basketball court, a play area, and lots of open grass areas perfect for volleyball or badminton.

Lake Chabot is about 60 surface acres and is stocked with catfish and trout up to several times a year. There's a nice nature trail around Lake Chabot and, as you can see from the pictures, Discovery Kingdom on the other side.

Dan Foley Park is also the home of the Foley Cultural Center. The center has many rooms available for rent and offers many classes.

The play area is nice with wide open spaces and lots to do to keep lots of kids happy. There are separate play areas for big kids and for tots. A good thing about the play area is its proximity to the playing fields. A bad thing is that there isn't any shade at all.

Normally parking fees are collected from April to October. Fees are $4 per vehicle for residents and $5 for non-residents.
