Cow Hollow Playground is an enchanting little playground tucked back on a dead-end street. It's so colorful, but you'd never know it was there. It was like having a private playground.
Part of the reason it was so colorful was all of the donated play structures and toys. From push toys to ride on cars, to slides, and even a toddler play structure- it was all there.
The playground is all sand, but in 2 tiers. The upper tier is the toddler area and the lower tier is for the older kids. I think a kid past the age of 7 or 8 would have a hard time being entertained here since it is so small. There are swings, a slide, and the play structure has some neat panels depicting the Palace of Fine Arts, De Young, and Golden Gate, but there's just not enough room to run.
I think SFRPD might run a preschool on site. So if you visited in the morning, the playground would be crowded with preschoolers.
