Corte Madera Town Park is a great park! I thought the design of the playground was brillant. All of the safety features are there and all of the fun too.
The playground is made of 2 circles. The inner circle is where the sand pit is and is raised above the rest of the playground for easy supervision. The outer circle is where all of the play structures are. 1/2 of the outer circle is play structures for kids roughly ages 3 to 8, 1/4 of it is for crawlers to about age 3, and the last 1/4 is grass. All of this is fenced in.
One cool thing about the this play area is that inside the fence there is a kid-sized road perfect for scooters and tricycles. The road follows the fence and makes a complete loop.
In addition, there is a playground for older kids off to the side, but still fenced in. This has a great play structure with big slides, including a roller slide, and a big climbing wall. This area also has some nice shade trees.
We spent a couple of hours playing here and really had a great time. We weren't the only ones either. This clearly is the "it" park in Corte Madera.
At 22 acres the park also has big ball fields, 2 lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, a big parking lot, a skate park, a lagoon with a walking path, and plenty of picnic areas. Word of advice, the bathrooms between the tennis courts and the skate park are better than the porta-potties you can see from the playground.
