Description
Corona Heights Park is located just below the Randall Museum which is a fabulous museum for young kids and their families. The park, however, isn't so fabulous.
Corona Heights has to be one of the oldest parks I have visited. The equipment was probably installed back in the 1970's. There is very little there to entertain kids unless they love to slide or swing.
When we visited a camp counselor from the Randall Museum warned me not to let my kids take off their shoes. The counselors have found broken glass in the sand and on more than one occasion, needles.
It's a shame, really. The park is used by day camps from the museum and by the neighborhood- there's a community garden, a well used basketball court, volleyball court, and a popular dog run. The equipment may be old, but it still functions.
