Description

Pleasant Hill Park is a wonderful park. I'm sure it's crowded on weekends and summer days, but the day we went (a Monday morning in the spring) it was just lovely. There were senior citizens holding softball practice, teenage girls playing basketball with a radio playing, parents keeping their tots busy at the play areas and lots of shade. A nice, easy way to begin a warm week.

It's clear that Pleasant Hill Park is a gem among the parks in town. There are great play areas, 2 ball fields, lots of picnic areas, a full basketball court, bathrooms, parking lots, and a very nice, active swim center with a toddler water feature.

The tot play area is completely fenced in. It has tanbark covering, a play tunnel, shaded benches, a small climbing wall, 2 slides, and 2 swings. In addition, there is a separate sand pit area with a digger. The sand pit is nicely shaded too.

The big kid play area is very nicely equipped with a huge play structure, 4 swings, 2 tire swings, tons of climbing structures, 2 spinners, 2 zip lines, and 7 slides.

I really liked this park, especially for its big shade trees. Some of the trees are redwood trees, which makes them all the more beautiful. It's a really nice, big park.
