Description
Civic Park is a wonderful urban park located a few blocks from Walnut Creek's downtown shopping district. The park is older with lots of big shade trees and a bandstand area. The play area is in the back, next to the parking lot. Even though the park is older, the play structures are newer and very clean.
The play area has two play structures, a train structure, a separate rock climbing area, and a semi-enclosed sand pit for little ones. The play area has sand covering and isn't shaded, but there is lots of shade next to it.
The play structures have 7 swings and 4 slides between them, one of which is a roller slide. There is also a zip line. I really liked the park and it was clear on the morning we visited that lots of other parents and kids do too.
