Description
Cherryland Park is a nice park that is well used. When we visited early one overcast Monday morning during the summer, there were teens playing basketball and people walking the park loop. It was clear by all of the scuffs and marks that the skate area is used too.
The play area has one play structure with fast slides and some neat balance beams. I thought it was great that one balance beam had an overhead handrail and that the other didn't. Good for kids to practice and then challenge themselves.
In addition to the play area, there's also a skate area and a basketball court. There are picnic benches among the trees. The park is enclosed on three sides and fenced on the street side.
The park still had garbage cans full of decorations from parties held there the previous weekend. The walking/riding path is a little rocky at times, but totally flat.
