Description
Cherry Grove Park is a great park with wide open spaces and lots of grass fields. The play structures are big and provide lots of climbing opportunities. The older kids play structure has two big climbing walls.
The tot lot, for ages 2-5, is fenced and shaded. It has a smaller climbing wall also. Its play structure has three slides. There are picnic tables between the two play areas for easy supervision.
The play structure for ages 5-12 has running ramps that are high up off the ground. The climbing walls are challenging, but not impossible. There is also a Skate Board Finger Park and swings.
The park is very flat and so its paths make for excellent riding of bikes. It has six tennis courts, a basketball court, a regulation sized soccer field and a dirt track. Cherry Grove backs John Muir Middle School, so some of these amenities may be used by the school when it is in session.
There are many picnic tables which are spread out evenly around the park, so you would not feel pinched when picnicking.
