Description
Chabot Park has a definite rustic setting. It is located on the back side of Lake Chabot. Nature is the true focus here, not the play structures.
It has three older play areas. One area has four of the older, long swings that go really high. Another area has a metal slide built into the hillside. And finally, there is a old climbing structure.
One very unique feature that Chabot has is a 9 hole disc (Frisbee) golf course. The course, complete with pars, runs across fields and through groves of trees.
There is one large picnic area for about 200 people and smaller ones with barbeque pits. There are two cement volleyball courts, a ball field backstop, and an amphitheater.
A creek with possible exploration opportunities runs along one side of the park. On the other side, a 1/2 mile hike up a paved path takes you to the dam at Lake Chabot.
