Canyon View Park is located in a neighborhood above Cal State East Bay off of Hayward Blvd. The park is comprised of three levels. The top most level does give you an incredible view of the canyon and the bay.

The play structure at the park is designed for ages 5-12 with lots of monkey bars and very little extras to engage a younger child. There are two slides, a very small climbing wall, and two big kid swings. The ground cover is tanbark and there are several benches beside the play area.

A basketball court sits on the second level of the park. An old ball field sits on the third level which can be reached by a long hike up a path inside the park or a steep walk up the street side sidewalk.

Canyon View is a quiet park with lots of grass. I could easily see pick-up games involving running or balls taking place here with little worry about cars or other curious people.
