Boyle Park is a good park with lots of things to do. I think it's probably pretty crowded on the weekends between families enjoying the park, playing tennis, and ball games.
The park is tucked away between residential areas. The easiest way to get to the play area is to take East Drive from East Blithdale Ave. If you do this, it leads you to a parking lot right by the play area.
Surprisingly, my kids spent more time in the tot play area than the big kid area. They really liked the playhouse and the truck. My kids also spent a long time swinging.
The big kid play structure strikes me as basic, with nothing exciting. I did love the tiles that were along the wall that surrounds the big kid play area. What a great idea.
Besides the play areas, there are 5 tennis courts, a back board, 2 ball fields, a large field, a 1/2 basketball court, and picnic areas. There's a creek that runs through the park and there are some cute picnic sites by the creek.
Take the bridge across the creek and there's a great display about life in the watershed. Everything is interconnected. I also loved the "Parent/Volunteer Pledge" sign that I saw posted at the ball fields. What a fantastic idea to post it where a reminder is often most needed.
