Description

Benham Park in Placerville is a great park for the community. It has a fenced play area, a basketball court, grass area with picnic benches, Scout Meeting Hall, and an aquatic center.

The fenced play area has two big play structures, tanbark, and benches. The play area can get some afternoon shade, but is sunny most of the day.

My kids really liked the tunnels and climbing ladders linking parts of the play structures together. They enjoyed a spirited game of hide-and-seek with my husband and the tunnels were the perfect places to hide in.

Benham Park is near Placerville's historic downtown. It really is a neat place to window shop and enjoy the ambiance.

We try to visit Placerville every fall to experience Apple Hill. If you go to visit Apple Hill be sure to bring sunscreen and a cooler for carrying your apple pie home. You won't be disappointed.
