Description
Talk about an enormous park! At 95 acres Anna Jean Cummings Park is huge. A very nice thing though is that it is spread out and there are several parking lots. The park has numerous ball fields up on the hill and they are very well used in the evenings and on the weekends.
The play areas are quite unique and have many amenities that most parks don't have. The older kid play area has a tire swing, a bridge, a very fast slide accessible by stairs up the hill, some slides of its own, and a big faux tree stump for hiding in. The younger kid play area has some rocking rides, three slides, and a tunnel. Both play areas have lots of sand.
The bathrooms are right next to the play areas which is quite nice. There are three covered pavilion picnic areas and some benches around the play areas. No shade over the play areas though.
It is known as Blue Ball Park by the locals for its artwork. The park is quite popular and one of the few in the area. So if anyone ever asks you to meet them at Blue Ball Park, you'll know where to go.
