Description
A.B. Morris or Adobe Park opened in the spring of 2009. It is a very nice and very new park. However, that means there is not a lot of shade because the trees have not yet grown in.
The park has one of those cool, but not very practical play structures. It does have a sand pit that occasionally has some left behind toys in it. Otherwise the ground covering is tanbark.
This park is well known in Castro Valley for having 2 bocce ball courts. It also has a big, open grassy field and some picnic benches. There is a flat path around the park, which would be good for bike riding. And it does have a small skate park near the bocce ball courts.
One nice aspect is that the Adobe Art Center is right next to the park. Before or after classes, little ones can come here to burn off energy.
